National Grid Announces 2012 Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Beginning January 1, 2012, National Grid is offering valuable cash rebates on eligible high efficiency heating and water heating equipment and controls:
·       High-Efficiency Heating Equipment: National Grid offers cash rebates on new qualifying high-efficiency boilers and furnaces. A high-efficiency natural gas space heating unit can save customers up to 30% on their annual heating costs.
·       Indirect Water Heating Unit: Water heating accounts for up to 25% of the energy consumed in a home. National Grid offers rebates on indirect water heating units that can help cut water heating expenses by up to 30%.
·       Boiler Reset Control: Installing a weather-sensitive boiler reset control can save homeowners up to 10% or more on heating costs by operating their heating boiler according to the weather outdoors.
·       7-Day ProgrammableThermostat: Installing and setting a 7-day programmable thermostat is an easy, low-cost investment that can save homeowners up to $180 a year.

In order to take advantage of these rebates, customers must first reserve funding by completing the online rebate reservation process, which can be found here. On this website customers can view remaining available funds and complete the online reservation form. Customers that do not have online access must call 1-877-316-9491 to reserve funding.

Customers should complete the online rebate reservation process before installing their equipment and completing and submitting a rebate form. Customers will receive confirmation of their reservation via an e-mail or letter containing their Web Submission ID number. It is necessary to obtain a Web Submission ID number in order to receive a rebate from National Grid.

  1. This is a good information for young moms like me specially now that my husband is abroad for work. Hopefully, I'll be able to do the boiler installation and boiler repair after I finish this program.
